In 1983 he retired and spent his winters in McAllen, Texas, where he was an associate member of Our Savior's Lutheran Church and a member of the choir. After selling the bakery, he worked for Teslow-Lichtsinn Motors, as a salesman. During this time, he served as President of the Chamber of Commerce. They farmed until 1968, when they purchased the Forest City Bakery. To this union, three children were born, Sonje, Byron and Nance. Lehman was united in marriage to Delores Olson at Grant Lutheran Church on May 14, 1939. He played clarinet in the first band at the Forest City High School. Valley Township and graduated from Forest City High School in 1935. Lehman received his education at Vatne School #8 in Mt.
